The 2016 Wood Stove Change-Out Is Underway Now!

Join the 2016 Wood Stove Change-Out For Rebates Up to $2,500!

Massachusetts Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Matthew Eaton and Enchanted Fireside Owner Rocco DiVerdi announce the launch of the Massachusetts Wood Stove Change-Out Program last year.

Rebates, Discounts & Financing Make This The Best Change-Out Program Ever!

How Much Is My Old Stove Worth?
With the 2016 program, rebates vary based on the new stove you choose, ranging from $500 to $1,500 per change-out, (with qualifying low-income rebates ranging from $1,500 to $2,500), based on the specification of your new stove.

How do I Get A Rebate?
Bring in whatever information you have about your old wood stove (a picture of the metal tag(s) on the back showing the model number would be great!) AND your latest electric bill (the program requires this for address verification), so we can apply for your rebate.

How Much Time Do I Have?
In previous programs, available funding was exhausted within just a few weeks, and only the “Early Birds” were able to cash in. But if funds last, the program is open to new applications until mid-July.

What If I Can’t Afford A New Stove Right Now, Even With The Rebate? Will I Lose Out?
This is such a great opportunity, we want everyone who possibly can to participate. At Enchanted Fireside, you can combine your rebate with the Enchanted Fireside Energy Freedom Loan and finance your new stove for up to 4 years at the low rate of 4.99%. Your new stove, fully installed, could cost less than $50/month. Your new stove could pay for itself with your first year of savings on your heating bill. What is the Wood Stove Change-Out Program?

The mission of the Wood Stove Change-Out program is to install cleaner stoves that meet stringent air quality and energy efficiency standards. The rebates will help upgrade as many households as possible to ensure maximum positive impact in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts 2016 Wood Stove Change-Out is a voluntary program that provides Massachusetts residents rebates to reduce air pollution caused by old, high-emission and low-efficiency wood stoves. Rebates are available for up to $2,500 to replace currently installed and operating old, conventional wood stoves and fireplace inserts with cleaner-burning, more efficient EPA-certified wood or pellet stoves and fireplaces. The old wood stove is removed and the metal recycled.
