Shrewsbury, MA: Rocco and Karen DiVerdi, owners of Enchanted Fireside at 728 West Boylston Street in Worcester MA, presented a $6,400 donation to Sally Hodgerney, Development and Communications Coordinator of Worcester County Food Bank on Friday, December 8th 2017. The $6,400 donation represented a percentage of Enchanted Fireside’s November sales in their first annual “Shop Small Give Big” event. Enchanted Fireside sells, services and installs hearth products including wood, gas and pellet burning stoves, fireplaces, fireplace inserts and accessories.
“For years, we have participated in Small Business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, in a celebration that recognizes the importance of small businesses to the local community. This year, we extended the concept for the entire month of November to accommodate our client’s typical purchasing time frame, and coupled it to a tangible community contribution.” explains Karen. “Small businesses like Enchanted Fireside contribute to the community every day in large and small ways, including providing quality jobs. “Shop Small Give Big” helped us to spotlight the importance of all small businesses, and include our generous customers in our community support.”
