A fireplace can provide more than a source of warmth—it can also become a comfortable gathering point in a home. For homeowners who want the appearance and warmth of a fireplace with the convenience of gas, the Lopi Radiant Plus Large GSB Gas Fireplace Insert offers a practical option for larger living spaces.
Available from Enchanted Fireside, this gas insert combines radiant heat and natural convection with a large viewing area, making it suitable for homeowners looking to update an existing fireplace.
Designed for Larger Living Spaces
The Radiant Plus Large GSB is designed to provide heat for spaces of up to 1,650 square feet, with a maximum input of 33,000 BTU/hr for natural gas and 31,000 BTU/hr for propane.
Its larger format makes it particularly suited to gathering areas where homeowners want both a noticeable source of warmth and a prominent fire display.
Radiant Heat and Natural Convection
The Radiant Plus design combines two ways of distributing warmth. Radiant heat can be felt directly from the fireplace, while natural convection allows heated air to circulate through the room.
This combination is designed to provide comfortable warmth while making the fireplace an inviting feature in the living space.
A Large View of the Fire
One of the standout features of the Large model is its substantial viewing area. The insert uses ceramic glass measuring approximately 27¾ inches wide by 16¼ inches high, providing more than 450 square inches of viewing area.
The generous fire view can make the fireplace a natural focal point, particularly in living rooms, family rooms, and other gathering spaces.
GreenSmart Basic Convenience
The GSB (GreenSmart Basic) version uses a pilot system designed to automatically light the fireplace when heat is requested and turn it off when there is no longer a call for heat. Lopi lists the GSB as an energy-efficient option within the Radiant Plus line.
This provides an alternative to the continuously burning pilot used by the Radiant Plus Millivolt model.
A Practical Fireplace Upgrade
The Lopi Radiant Plus Large GSB combines a substantial fire viewing area with radiant and convective heat, making it an option for homeowners who want to update an existing fireplace with a gas insert. Its heating capacity and large format can work particularly well in larger living areas, depending on the home’s layout and heating requirements.
