Enchanted Fireside is excited to once again partner with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) for the 2019 Wood Stove Changeout. The program offers significant financial incentives to assist Massachusetts residents in replacing non-EPA-certified wood stoves with cleaner, more efficient wood or pellet stoves. Last year, our customers received nearly $100,000 in instant rebates from this program, through a similar 4-month program that was launched at Enchanted Fireside in March 2017.
Old, non-EPA certified wood stoves are those legally manufactured before July 1, 1988 (when EPA began to require certification). Many of these stoves have metal, not glass doors.
Stop in today with (1) a photo of your old (operational) wood stove, and (2) a copy of your electric bill to learn if you qualify for these rebates.

All Massachusetts residents currently operating a non-EPA certified wood-fired stove or fireplace insert are eligible to apply for instant rebates of $500 – 1,750 off the cost of replacing their existing stoves. Mid-to-low-income applicants who meet certain requirements are eligible for instant rebates up to $3,250.

Homeowners may apply at Enchanted Fireside.
The instant rebates apply to the purchase and installation cost of a new wood- or pellet-fired stove or fireplace insert that meets the program’s stove performance standards. The application period will be open through June 30, 2019.
